Schoolchildren Rally in Moubhandar for Justice in Doctor’s Murder Case

300 students march in Moubhandar to demand justice for slain Kolkata medic

In a touching display of solidarity, young students in Moubhandar have joined nationwide protests demanding justice for the murdered Kolkata doctor.

JAMSHEDPUR – The rape and murder of a female resident doctor in Kolkata prompted hundreds of pupils from Saint Joseph Convent School in Maubhandar to march in protest.

Nearly 300 students from classes three, four, and five participated in the school-organized rally.

The procession, which commenced at the school premises and proceeded through critical areas of Moubhandar, was led by Principal Sister Shalini.

Placards bearing slogans demanding justice and enhanced safety for women were carried by the young demonstrators.

Among the messages that were displayed were "We demand justice," "Ensure the safety of women," and "Stop demonstrating mercy toward perpetrators."

The students and instructors maintained their enthusiasm in spite of the oppressive heat.

The procession returned to the school after passing through the main gate of HCL-ICC Works, Maubhandar Chowk, B-Block Chowk, and Babuline.

The students and the school management were commended by bystanders along the route for their initiative.

Sister Shalini issued a vehement condemnation of the Kolkata incident and urged the implementation of severe penalties against the perpetrators.

Throughout the march, the students persisted in chanting slogans to increase awareness of their cause.

The pervasive outrage over the heinous crime in Kolkata is underscored by this youth-led demonstration.

The rally was attended by numerous instructors and staff members, such as Sister Pratima and Manjinder Kaur.

The school’s endeavor to increase the awareness of social issues among young students has been extensively praised by the local community.
