Young Woman Commits Suicide in Ulidih, Jamshedpur

A 20-year-old woman hanged herself at her aunt’s home in Ulidih; police investigation underway.

A 20-year-old woman from Siwan, Bihar, committed suicide by hanging herself at her aunt’s home in Jamshedpur’s Ulidih area on Wednesday night.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic incident, a 20-year-old woman hailing from Siwan, Bihar, ended her life by hanging herself in her aunt’s house in Sankosai Road No. 5, Hayat Nagar, under the Ulidih police station area on Wednesday night.

The woman had been staying with her aunt for the past 7 to 8 months.

According to her cousin, the incident occurred when the young woman locked herself in her room late in the evening.

When she did not respond to repeated knocks on the door, her family members broke it down, only to find her hanging from the ceiling fan.

Upon receiving the news, police arrived at the scene and sent the body for post-mortem.

An investigation has been initiated, but the reasons behind the suicide are yet to be determined.
