A significant plantation drive at Sonari’s Army Camp marks a step forward in local environmental conservation efforts.
JAMSHEDPUR – Shiv Shankar Singh, an emerging leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Thursday led a significant tree-planting initiative at the Army Camp in Sonari to encourage environmental sustainability and inspire the community to do more for the environment
The event, which was coordinated by the social organization Koshish Ek Muskaan Laane Ki, witnessed the planting of a variety of tree species and the program was quite successful.
Medicinal, dense shade, and fruit-bearing plants were among the varieties that were planted during the campaign on Thursday, it was learnt.
The newly planted trees will be cared for by Army personnel until they attain maturity, a spokesperson of the organization said.
The significance of individual responsibility in environmental protection was underscored by Shiv Shankar Singh, the patron of Koshish Ek Muskaan Laane Ki.
On this occasion, Singh asserted during the event that "every individual is accountable for the preservation and enhancement of the environment."
In order to uphold his social obligations to the environment, Singh also promoted widespread involvement in tree planting and urged others to follow the environmental norms.
The BJP leader expressed his appreciation for the army personnel’ active participation in the noble cause.
