Jamshedpur DC Meets Durga Puja Committee for Festival Prep

332 Durga Puja sites planned; infrastructure and safety measures discussed

Jamshedpur’s Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal met with the Central Durga Puja Committee to discuss preparations for this year’s festival.

JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal convened with the Jamshedpur Central Durga Puja Committee to plan for the upcoming festival, set to be celebrated at 332 locations across the city.

Committee President Achintam Gupta welcomed DC Ananya Mittal with a floral bouquet.

The meeting focused on comprehensive preparations for this year’s Durga Puja celebrations.

Discussions included the development of Hurlung Ghat, where 14 immersions take place annually.

The committee briefed the DC on last year’s electoral process and the organization’s functioning.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of zonal meetings, as highlighted by General Secretary Ashutosh Singh.

Urgent repairs of the Baroda Ghat bridge were prioritized during the talks.

The need to strengthen arrangements at Bodhanwala Ghat was also addressed.

Considerations were made to create sloped areas for immersion at Bhojpuri Ghat.

Peaceful puja committees from previous years may be granted Shobha Yatra routes.

The committee requested new locations for puja sites acquired by corporations.

Issues of parking space near puja pandals were brought to the DC’s attention.

DC Mittal assured full cooperation and support for a joyous and well-organized festival.

Key attendees included Working President Bhupendra Singh, Secretary Ram Babu Singh, and Senior Vice President Diwakar Singh.
