District Authorities Gear Up for Pension Scheme and Filaria Drive

JAMSHEDPUR – District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal convened an online meeting with key stakeholders.
The meeting included SHG groups, PDS dealers, Sevikas, BLOs, Mukhiyas, Sahiyaka, Jal Sahiya, and Pragya Center operators.
The focus was on the Chief Minister State Old Age Pension Scheme and the filariasis eradication campaign.
Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar also attended.
The pension scheme, scheduled from 20 to 22 February, aims to reach eligible women aged 50-60 and ST/SC individuals.
A publicity campaign is set from 14 to 19 February to raise awareness.
Pension camps will provide comprehensive information to beneficiaries.
Applications for caste certificates will be collected for those without them.
The filariasis eradication campaign runs from 10 to 25 February.
DEC and Albendazole medications are distributed by health workers across the district.
Anganwadi workers and health department assistants are ensuring proper medication administration.
