Kowali police nab Rajesh Sardar for allegedly beating and drowning Padmini Sardar in well
In a shocking incident, Kowali police arrested Rajesh Sardar for the alleged murder of Padmini Sardar following a long-standing land dispute in Mejogoda.
JAMSHEDPUR – Kowali police have apprehended Rajesh Sardar, the prime suspect in the murder of Padmini Sardar in Mejogoda, following a tip-off.
The accused, Rajesh Sardar, was taken into custody on Monday after being on the run since the incident.
Rajesh allegedly beat Padmini Sardar and threw her into a well, resulting in her death.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, citing a prolonged land dispute as the motive.
Dhananjay Paswan, the in-charge of Kowali police station, successfully apprehended the accused based on received information.
The victim’s husband, Dhanpati Sardar, had previously filed a murder complaint against Rajesh Sardar.
Reports suggest that the accused may have been struggling with mental health issues.
Authorities conducted a post-mortem examination of Padmini Sardar’s body on Monday before releasing it to her family.
The suspect has been placed in judicial custody as the investigation continues.
