In a proud moment for Jharkhand, girls from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas will tie rakhi on President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Raksha Bandhan.
DHANBAD – Girls from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas in Jharkhand, including five from Dhanbad’s Baliyapur, are set to tie rakhi on President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.
The group of 30 girls, which also includes students from Dumka and Ranchi, has already departed for Delhi from Dhanbad station via the Asansol Anand Vihar Special train.
The five girls from Baliyapur are Gudia Kumari, Sumati Kumari, Lovely Kumari, Rajshree Mahato, and Payal Kumari, accompanied by their teacher, Rita Kumari.
Dhanbad’s District Education Officer (DEO) Neetu Kumari was present at the station to see them off.
The girls expressed their excitement about meeting the country’s top leaders, a moment they never imagined would happen.
Payal Kumari, one of the students, shared her joy about going to Delhi to tie rakhi on the wrists of the Prime Minister and the President, describing it as a proud moment.
Other students expressed their eagerness to discuss the state of education in Jharkhand’s rural areas with the Prime Minister, particularly the need for improved English education.
Nisha Kumari and Riya mentioned their plans to talk to the PM about enhancing English education in rural schools.
DEO Neetu Kumari described the event as a moment of great pride for the state.
