Tatanagar-Jaynagar Weekly Express Service Begins on August 16

South Eastern Railway introduces a new weekly express train between Tatanagar and Jaynagar, enhancing connectivity for Mithilanchal residents.

The Tatanagar-Jaynagar Weekly Express, launching on August 16, will depart Tatanagar every Friday evening, reaching Jaynagar the next day. This service is expected to provide significant relief for residents of the Mithilanchal region.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant development, the South Eastern Railway has introduced a new weekly train service between Tatanagar and Jaynagar, which is set to commence from August 16, 2024.

The Tatanagar-Jaynagar Weekly Express, train number 18119, will depart from Tatanagar every Friday at 6:50 PM and is scheduled to reach Jaynagar by 11:30 AM the next day.

The return journey, train number 18120, will begin from Jaynagar every Saturday at 7:30 PM, with the train arriving at Tatanagar at 11:30 AM the following day.

This new service is expected to provide significant relief to residents of the Mithilanchal region, enhancing connectivity between Jamshedpur and Bihar.

**Key Route Details**

The train will halt at 18 stations along the route, including Chandil, Muri, Kotshila, Rajabera, Dhanbad, Pradhankunta, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Barauni, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Sakri, and Madhubani.

These stops are strategically selected to cater to passengers from various regions, providing them with accessible travel options.

With the launch of this service, travelers can expect a smoother journey and more convenient access to destinations across Jharkhand and Bihar.

A railway official stated, "This new train service is a vital step towards improving regional connectivity and easing travel for people of the Mithilanchal region."

The introduction of the Tatanagar-Jaynagar Weekly Express underscores the South Eastern Railway’s commitment to addressing the growing transportation needs of the area.
