Senior BJP Leader Ajay Srivastava Stakes Claim for Jamshedpur West Seat

Ajay Srivastava, ex-vice president of BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar, asserts his candidacy for the Jamshedpur West Assembly seat in the upcoming elections.

Ajay Srivastava has formally staked his claim for the Jamshedpur West seat in the upcoming Assembly elections, urging the party to choose a dedicated worker as the candidate.

JAMSHEDPUR – Ajay Srivastava, former vice president of BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar, has officially staked his claim for the Jamshedpur West Assembly seat in the upcoming elections.

Speaking to reporters at his Sonari residence on Tuesday, Srivastava emphasized the need for the party to nominate a dedicated insider rather than an external candidate.

He stated that party workers will not accept an outsider as the candidate for the seat.

Srivastava, who joined the BJP in 1985, has submitted his claim through proper channels, including the Mahanagar president, the organization general secretary, former CM Arjun Munda, and other election officials.

He highlighted his nearly 40 years of service to the party, including his role in helping BJP candidates win both Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections.

Despite others leaving the party, Srivastava remained loyal to the BJP and rose through the ranks from president of the Sonari Kumharpada local committee to vice president of the Mahanagar unit.

Srivastava urged the party to seriously consider its choice for the Jamshedpur West seat, a stronghold for the BJP.

He was accompanied by Om Prakash Singh, former president of Sonari Mandal, Amrendra Mallik, former president of Kadma Mandal, and other local leaders.

Srivastava criticized the state government and local representatives for failing to implement several development projects, including the Sonari Domuhani Park, the Kadma Multipurpose Building, and the Sakchi DM Library.

He raised concerns about the unfulfilled promise of constructing a cremation ground in Sonari and the ongoing issues with waste management along the Sonari riverbank.

He accused the local minister of deceiving the public with false assurances and demanded answers during the upcoming elections.
