Tata Steel Zoological Park to host an event on World Elephant Day, keeping the zoo open for visitors on August 12.

In observance of World Elephant Day, Tata Steel Zoological Park will remain open on Monday, August 12, 2024, and will host a special event to promote elephant conservation.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Zoological Park will celebrate World Elephant Day on August 12, 2024, by organizing a special event aimed at spreading awareness about elephant protection and conservation.

The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Government of India, has urged forest departments and zoos across the country to observe World Elephant Day on a large scale.

In response, Tata Steel Zoological Park will keep its gates open for visitors on Monday, a day when the zoo is usually closed.

The event will offer visitors an opportunity to learn about the importance of protecting elephants and their habitats.

This initiative aligns with the broader national effort to raise awareness about elephant conservation, ensuring that these magnificent creatures continue to thrive in their natural environments.

The zoo’s decision to remain open on a normally closed day reflects its commitment to this cause, providing an educational and engaging experience for all visitors.
