Jamshedpur Women’s University Promotes Breastfeeding Awareness

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Women’s University recently hosted a comprehensive week-long program to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, focusing on awareness and education.

The Department of Home Science and Clinical Nutrition Dietetics (CND) organized a series of engaging activities throughout the week.

Students participated in various competitions, showcasing their creativity and knowledge about breastfeeding.

The events included:

1. Slogan Competition (40 participants)

2. Poster Competition (35 participants)

3. Extempore Competition (25 participants)

4. Question-and-Answer Session

5. Street Play by Home Science students

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Anjila Gupta emphasized the university’s dedication to awareness campaigns.

Dr. Rama Subramanian, Head of the Home Science Department, oversaw the program as the organizing secretary.

Dr. Shraddha Pandey from Manipal Tata Medical College delivered a keynote speech on common breastfeeding issues.

Dr. D. Pushpa Lata presented a detailed report of the week’s activities.
