Rotary Club Jamshedpur West Initiates Tree Planting at Beldih Course
Club pledges to plant 30,000 trees, furthering Jamshedpur’s green legacy
Rotary Club Jamshedpur West launched a tree planting program at Beldih Golf Course, part of its 30,000-tree initiative for the year.
JAMSHEDPUR – Rotary Club Jamshedpur West kicked off its ambitious tree planting program at Beldih Golf Course, marking a significant step in their commitment to plant 30,000 trees this year.
The initiative aims to enhance Jamshedpur’s reputation as the "Clean City Green City."
A symbolic teak tree was planted, representing the club’s dedication to environmental preservation.
Beldih Golf Course was chosen for its central location and frequent visits by Rotarians, ensuring proper care for the planted trees.
Dr. Amit Mukherjee, President of Rotary Club Jamshedpur West, emphasized the importance of tree survival and growth.
"Our goal is not just to plant trees but to ensure their growth and maintenance," Dr. Mukherjee stated.
The event saw participation from numerous prominent Rotary Club members, including Dipti Singh, the club’s Secretary.
Other notable attendees included Dr. Ravindra Kumar, NK Agarwal, Kamlesh Tiwari, and Amitabh Bakshi.
The club plans to continue tree planting activities at various locations throughout Jamshedpur.
