Jamshedpur Gynecologists Conclude 51st Annual Conference with Focus on Prevention

Two-Day Event Highlights Advancements in Obstetrics and Gynecological Oncology

The 51st annual JOGS conference emphasized preventive measures in obstetrics and gynecological oncology, featuring expert presentations and discussions.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (JOGS) wrapped up its 51st annual conference on August 4, focusing on preventive approaches in women’s health.

Over 150 gynecologists from Jamshedpur and across Jharkhand gathered for the two-day event.

The conference featured presentations from renowned professionals nationwide.

Dr. Lily Vyas from Jaipur discussed oligohydramnios prevention during pregnancy.

Dr. Nuzhat Aziz from Hyderabad addressed strategies to prevent fetal death.

Dr. Sheela Mane from Bengaluru conducted a practical drill on managing postpartum hemorrhage.

A panel discussion on hypertension in pregnancy was led by Dr. Nivedita Dutta from Bokaro.

Dr. Mamta Rath Dutta from Jamshedpur spoke about fetal growth retardation.

Dr. Sangeeta Singhal emphasized the importance of cervical cancer screening and vaccination.

JOGS President Dr. Binod Agarwal discussed infertility causes in both men and women.

Dr. Indu Chauhan presented on recent fertility innovations.

The inaugural ceremony on August 3 was attended by Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Dean of Manipal Medical College, Jamshedpur, and Dr. Vinita Singh from Tata Main Hospital.

IMA Jamshedpur President Dr. G.C. Majhi and Secretary Dr. Saurabh Chaudhary were also present.

Dr. Arunabha Roy from Calcutta Medica gave a talk on robotics in gynecological cancer treatment.

Dr. Archana Rai conducted an engaging obstetrics quiz for the attendees.

Dr. Abha Rani Sinha from Patna addressed liver-related issues during pregnancy.

Dr. Asha Jain from Raipur discussed the importance of timely ultrasound examinations.

The conference honored three esteemed gynecologists with Lifetime Achievement Awards.

As part of the Green Jamshedpur initiative, JOGS members planted 87 trees in the city.

The event concluded with a cultural program featuring performances by several doctors.

Dr. Alok Devdas, the society’s patron, expressed satisfaction with the conference’s success, stating, "This year’s focus on preventive measures in obstetrics and gynecological oncology has provided valuable insights that will undoubtedly enhance patient care in our region."
