SCCI Delegation Meets Revenue Secretary to Address Jamshedpur Registry Issue

Singhbhum Chamber delegation meets Jharkhand Revenue Secretary; urges resumption of Tata lease area registries.

A Singhbhum Chamber delegation, led by President Vijay Anand Moonka, met Jharkhand Revenue Secretary Chandrashekhar in Ranchi to discuss the halted registries of land, houses, and flats in the Tata lease area of Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – Singhbhum Chamber representatives convened with Jharkhand Revenue Secretary Chandrashekhar to discuss the suspended registries of properties in the Tata lease area of Jamshedpur.

The development activities in Jamshedpur are being impeded by the halted registries, as President Vijay Anand Moonka emphasized.

The delegation, which consisted of Honorary Secretary Manav Kedia and Vice Presidents Rajeev Agarwal and Puneet Kanwatia, emphasized the pressing necessity of resuming the registries.

Moonka asserted that the registry process, which had been operating without incident for nearly 70-80 years, abruptly ceased approximately seven years ago.

He stated that inquiries at different levels were unsuccessful in eliciting a concrete response, with some individuals citing oral orders from senior officials.

Locals are reluctant to invest in valuable properties as a result of the suspension, and numerous construction projects are proceeding at a glacial pace.

This has resulted in a decrease in revenue for the state government and an increase in unemployment among workers, which has had a negative impact on affiliated businesses.

The Chamber’s ongoing endeavors to reopen the registries in order to facilitate the accelerated development of Jamshedpur, which would also increase employment, were underscored by Vice Presidents Abhishek Agarwal Goldie and Puneet Kanwatia.

The delegation was reassured by Secretary Chandrashekhar that the department and the government would promptly take the necessary steps to resolve the matter.
