Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant Announces Two-Day Block Closure

Production halt on July 31 and August 1 due to seasonal demand decline.

Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant will undergo a two-day block closure on July 31 and August 1, as announced by Plant Head Ravindra Kulkarni.

JAMSHEDPUR – Ravindra Kulkarni, the factory Head of Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur factory, has issued a circular announcing a two-day block closure on July 31 and August 1.

The operations will be suspended on Thursday and Friday, and work will recommence on Saturday. The regular weekly holiday will be observed on Sunday.

The company will bear 50% of the closure’s impact, while the remaining 50% will be amended from employees’ leave.

Employees in these departments will continue to fulfill their obligations, and essential services will continue to operate.

Tata Cummins, which produces engines for Tata Motors, will implement a two-day block closure in accordance with a circular issued by Plant Head Ramphal Nehra.

The frequent block closures have prompted concerns among employees, despite the fact that they are a common occurrence during the monsoon season due to the reduced demand for commercial vehicles.
