Sakchi Shiv Mandir Hosts Grand Sawan Month Celebration
Thousands participate in Sahastraghat Jalabhishek Puja at Jamshedpur temple
Devotees gather at Sakchi Shiv Mandir for the third annual Sahastraghat Jalabhishek Puja, marking the auspicious month of Sawan.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Sahastraghat Jalabhishek Puja of Lord Shiva was performed by devotees at the Sakchi Shiv Mandir in Jamshedpur for the third year in a row, resulting in a magnificent celebration.
Lalchand Agarwal and Bablu Agarwal of the Shiv Mandir Committee organized the event to commemorate the memory of their late father, Vinod Kumar Agarwal.
The puja was conducted with Ganga water that was transported from Sultanganj, and hundreds of devotees participated.
The primary Sahastraghat Jalabhishek was conducted at 1 pm, utilizing 12,000 liters of Ganga water. The rituals commenced at 10 a.m.
At 5 p.m., a unique decoration and Maha Arati of Lord Shiva were initiated, which attracted an increased number of devotees.
The temple was filled with the melodious chants of ‘Om Namah Shivay,’ ‘Jai-Jai Bholenath,’ and ‘Har-Har Mahadev’ throughout the day.
The intricate rituals were performed by thirteen clerics, who were led by Bipin Pandit.
The event’s success was facilitated by the Agarwal family, the Sakchi Shiv Mandir Committee, and local merchants.
The celebration was witnessed by prominent social workers, such as Ashok Chaudhary and Umesh Sah.
After participating in the religious ceremonies, devotees were granted prasad.
The event was a significant observance of the Sawan month in Jamshedpur.
The event was attended by prominent members of the local community, including Raghunath Pandey and Suresh Kumar Kauntia.
The religious fervor and community spirit of Jamshedpur were exemplified by the celebration.
