Tata Steel commemorated Bharat Ratna JRD Tata’s 120th birth anniversary with events across its operations, honoring his enduring legacy.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel marked JRD Tata’s 120th birth anniversary with nationwide events, including tributes, races, and CSR activities.
A special tribute was paid at Sonari Airport in Jamshedpur by Tata Steel executives.
The celebration included cross-country races, blood donation drives, and sporting events at various company locations.
In Jharia, homage was paid to the leader, while West Bokaro organized an inter-gram panchayat football tournament final.
An Aero Modelling Show at Gopal Maidan on July 27 featured interactive displays and exhibitions of model planes.
Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Corporate Services, and D B Sundara RamaM, Vice President of Raw Materials, joined other officials in honoring JRD Tata.
The Tata Steel Centre for Excellence organized a quiz for school students at Michael John Auditorium.
Winners and runners-up of the quiz were treated to a helicopter joyride around Jamshedpur.
JRD Tata, known for his unique leadership style, served as Tata Steel’s Chairman from 1938 to 1984.
His legacy as a pioneering aviator and philanthropist continues to inspire millions worldwide.
The commemoration highlighted JRD’s significant contributions to Indian aviation and industry.
