NCC unit hosts art competitions and tributes for Vijay Diwas

Jamshedpur Women’s University commemorates Kargil Vijay Diwas with a series of patriotic events, fostering national pride among students.

JAMSHEDPUR – NCC cadets at Jamshedpur Women’s University pay homage to Kargil War heroes through artistic expressions and informative programs.

Jamshedpur Women’s University’s NCC unit organized a diverse range of activities on July 26 to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The event honored the successful completion of Operation Vijay in 1999, when Indian forces reclaimed Kargil’s heights from Pakistani intruders.

Thirty-five cadets participated in painting and poetry competitions, showcasing their artistic talents and patriotic fervor.

"These creative expressions truly capture the spirit of our brave soldiers," remarked a faculty member observing the competitions.

The program included a short film screening about Kargil Vijay Diwas and an emotional play depicting the war’s impact.

CTO Preeti delivered an informative lecture, providing insights into the significance of the day and the sacrifices made by Indian soldiers.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta commended the cadets’ enthusiasm, emphasizing the importance of such events in fostering patriotism.

The university’s initiative aimed to educate students about the Kargil War while instilling a sense of national pride and gratitude.
