JAMSHEDPUR – Lalita Sareen, the well known educator and the founder principal of Jamshedpur Public School, is no more.

The city mourns the loss of a respected educator who dedicated over five decades to shaping young minds and building inclusive educational communities in Jamshedpur.

Lalita Sareen’s impact extended far beyond the classroom.

She founded Jamshedpur Public School, establishing it as one of the city’s premier educational institutions.

Her passion for education continued even after retirement.

Sareen joined Kavyapta Global School as Initiative Director, sharing her vast experience for over 15 years.

She penned engaging short stories to impart life skills and values to children.

These tales were recently published in the "Mending Minds" series.

Kabita Agrawal, Principal of Kavyapta Global School, praised Sareen’s lasting influence.

She highlighted Sareen’s final contribution – the school song – delivered just days before her passing.

Sareen’s talents encompassed more than just education.

She was actively involved in English and Hindi theater, producing award-winning community plays.

Her leadership extended to sports development through organizations like the Bihar Women’s Cricket Association.

Sareen served as Secretary of the Jamshedpur Old Girls & Guys Association (JOGGA).

She was a multifaceted individual, skilled in music, dance, and literature.

Her writing appeared in various magazines and publications.

Sareen’s philosophy centered on weaving positive influences into the lives of others.

She believed in creating lasting impacts beyond physical monuments.

Her passing on Thursday, July 25, marks the end of an era in Jamshedpur’s educational community.

Sareen’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations of educators and students alike.
