Tata Steel VP Lauds Club’s Community Service Efforts During Traditional Handover Event

A pivotal leadership transition marked the 39th Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Midtown, showcasing the organization’s commitment to community service.

JAMSHEDPUR – The 39th Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Midtown was held in a customary fashion.

The ceremony welcomed new officials and recognized exceptional achievements to the betterment of society.

The main guest during the function was D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President of Raw Materials at Tata Steel.

PDG Dr. R. Bharat conducted the induction and installation ceremonies.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Jha was succeeded as President by Preeti Saini.

Jyoti Singh was replaced as Secretary by Rajeshwar Jaiswal.

Ashish Das gave a heartfelt speech to welcome everyone to the wedding.

A thorough overview of the club’s projects during the 2023–24 Rotary year was given by Dr. Ashok Kumar Jha during the ceremony and it was lauded by one and sundry.

Besides, the members were also honored for their outstanding contributions to society at the awards ceremony.

As the Rotarian of the Year, Dr. Jyoti Singh received recognition for her efforts in setting up medical camps and free surgeries.

The new Board of Directors was formally installed in accordance with established Rotary procedures.

The group welcomed five new members, increasing the number of committed volunteers on its roster.

In her inauguration speech, Preeti Saini explained at length the club’s objectives for the upcoming year amid all round appreciation from the participants.

She also stressed the value of fellowship when participating on meaningful community service initiatives.

During the event, the chief guest also unveiled a commemorative memento.

Ramam profusely complimented the club’s efforts and made a comparison between it and Tata Steel’s community outreach in mining regions.

The occasion demonstrated the club’s continued dedication to using teamwork to address societal concerns.
