Jamshedpur DDC pushes for swift completion of MLA-funded schemes

Review meeting sets deadlines, addresses delays in vital projects

Jamshedpur administration tackles delayed MLA-funded schemes, sets new deadlines, and addresses site disputes to expedite development projects.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Deputy Development Commissioner of Jamshedpur, Manish Kumar, chaired an important review meeting today, with a focus on accelerating MLA-funded schemes and DC bill submissions.

The meeting went a long way in discussing the nuances of different schemes and projects.

The gathering, organized by District Magistrate Ananya Mittal, was chiefly aimed at addressing the obstacles in developmental projects that span across multiple fiscal years in the district.

Kumar stressed the importance of completing unfinished projects from 2020-21 to 2022-23, with a deadline of July 31, 2024 for new project estimates.

Instructions tailored to specific constituencies of East Singhbhum district

Both Baharagora and Ghatsila constituencies have been given urgent directives to finish pending projects from the fiscal year 2021-22 in the review meeting.

On the other hand, Jugsalai is in the process of completing a project that involves making changes to a site, while Jamshedpur East has made significant progress on two different initiatives.

"We’re determined to overcome challenges and achieve outcomes," expressed a local MLA, who preferred to remain anonymous.

Tackling issues faced by local governments

The Mango Municipal Corporation has been instructed to provide seven DC bills from previous years.

JNAC has a challenging two-day deadline to complete eight pending schemes.

Musabani and Potka blocks have been given instructions to process refunds for certain projects.

Parliament Fund schemes

The Rural Development and NREP divisions in Jamshedpur were given the responsibility of reaching a 50% completion rate for the Parliament Fund schemes.

Kumar laid special emphasis on the importance of timely execution of these projects so that these can effectively benefit the different constituents of the district, especially the marginalized sections of the society.

The meeting also had several attendees from different departmental officers, highlighting a collective endeavor to streamline project implementation in the district.
