Education Scandal Rocks Kolhan Schools

Hundreds of teachers found with fraudulent credentials

State-wide investigation uncovers widespread certification irregularities among para teachers, prompting official action.

JAMSHEDPUR – Kolhan division authorities are grappling with the aftermath of a shocking revelation in the education sector.

A recent probe has exposed a disturbing trend of fake certifications among assistant teachers in Jharkhand’s school system.

The Kolhan division, including East Singhbhum, is at the center of this controversy, with several educators still employed despite invalid credentials.

State officials have called for immediate action against those found to be working with fraudulent qualifications.

"We are committed to maintaining the integrity of our education system," stated a representative from the School Education and Literacy Department.

The investigation identified 429 teachers statewide with questionable certifications or unauthorized absences.

While 250 individuals have been removed from their positions, 179 continue to work, raising concerns about the verification process.

In the Kolhan region alone, eight para teachers remain employed despite their certificates being deemed invalid.

The fraudulent documents often originate from institutions not recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Authorities have instructed the Jharkhand Education Project to submit a comprehensive report on the ongoing removal process.
