"Without permanent status, our elderly parents and children may end up on the streets," expressed Amit Mishra, a municipal office assistant present at the meeting.

The employees stressed that permanent roles would enable them to provide adequately for their dependents.

MLA Mohanty responded to their concerns with assurances of job retention and government consideration for permanent positions.

"No one will lose their job. The government will give due thought to making these positions permanent," Mohanty stated during the interaction.

The meeting was attended by various municipal staff members, including computer operators Durga Nath, Ashish Jyoti, and Pralabh Jha.

Also present were Arun Mahato, sanitary supervisor Asim Nath, and sanitation worker Prasenjit Das, among others.
