East Singhbhum District Carrom Association Hosts AGM and Referee Seminar
Campaign to Promote Carrom in Schools and District-Level Tournament Announced
The East Singhbhum District Carrom Association held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and referee seminar at Tulsi Bhawan in Bistupur, deciding to promote carrom in city schools and organize a district-level tournament.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Annual General Meeting and referee seminar of the East Singhbhum District Carrom Association took place at Tulsi Bhawan in Bistupur.
One of the important decisions made during the meeting was to start a campaign in city schools to promote the game of carrom and get more young people involved.
In addition, we are planning to organize a tournament at the district level in order to encourage more people to participate.
At the referee seminar, the officials were given an update on the new rules and recent changes in carrom regulations.
The game has been added to the CISCE calendar, and competitions are organized at zonal and regional levels. Players who perform well have the opportunity to progress to the national level.
Ashfaq Ahmed and DP Valmiki were the instructors for the seminar.
The meeting was attended by Secretary D. Gopi Rao, Joint Secretary Arun Kumar, Kundan Kumar Chandra, Pradeep Mukherjee, Iqbal Singh, K. Venugopal Rao, Surjit Singh, Murali, Mohammad Wasim, Manoj Pandey, Suchindra Singh, Ranjit Singh, Govind Mukhi, Udyan Nair, Amul Dobhraj, and Vanya.
The main goal of the association is to create a supportive carrom community and offer young players the chance to thrive in the sport.
