Medical Board Oversees Postmortem of Karthik Munda Following Police Raid
The autopsy of Karthik Munda, who died in a police raid, reportedly confirms severe injuries caused his death.
JAMSHEDPUR – The autopsy of Karthik Munda, conducted under a medical board’s supervision, has reportedly confirmed severe injuries as the cause of his death during a police raid.
During a police raid in Mittal Vihar Apartments, Sonari, Jamshedpur, an accused of several cases Karthik Munda had died.
The doctors conducted an autopsy late in the evening under the supervision of a medical board, as ordered by the Deputy Commissioner of Jamshedpur.
The postmortem was carried out under the leadership of Magistrate Sudipta Raj, with a team of doctors overseeing the process.
According to the police report, Karthik Munda died from severe injuries sustained after falling from the roof.
The postmortem confirmed that he suffered fatal injuries to his chest and head, leading to his death.
No evidence of assault or gunshot wounds was reportedly found during the examination.
Although the postmortem report has not been made public, it has been prepared under the supervision of the medical team and will be handed over to the Deputy Commissioner in a sealed envelope.
Additionally, the report will be submitted to the Human Rights Commission as per their guidelines.
It may be added here that Karthik Munda’s wife has accused the police of killing her husband, alleging that men posing as police officers caused his death.
She stated that Karthik mentioned he was fine after a minor fall when he was apprehended by the police, but later she found that his body was at TMH.
The family alleges that Karthik was murdered by the police, prompting the Deputy Commissioner to form a medical board for the postmortem examination.
