A police raid at a guest house in Jamshedpur’s Nirmalnagar uncovered illegal activities, leading to the arrest of three men and four women.
JAMSHEDPUR – A late-night raid by SDO Parul Singh at a guest house in Nirmalnagar, Sitaramdera, has revealed illegal activities, resulting in the detention of three local men and four women.
The raid took place at former minister Dulal Bhuiya’s guest house, known as Katyayani, following reports of suspected prostitution.
The individuals were found in compromising situations in three rooms, and their families were summoned to the Sitaramdera police station.
SDO Parul Singh stated that the premises were being used for unethical activities under the guise of a hotel.
Local youths had booked the rooms, and upon receiving the tip-off, a police team led by DSP Bhola Prasad conducted the raid late on Friday night.
Alcohol was seized from all the rooms, while marijuana was found in two rooms and a hookah in another.
The guest house has been sealed immediately following the raid.
Sources indicate that the guest house belongs to former minister Dulal Bhuiya and his family, who had rented it out. However, Dulal Bhuiya declined to comment on the matter.
