CBI Arrests Kingpin in NEET Paper Leak Case

Rocky alias Rakesh Ranjan apprehended, bringing the total arrests to 27.

The CBI achieved a significant breakthrough in the NEET paper leak case with the arrest of Rocky alias Rakesh Ranjan from Jharkhand on Wednesday.

RANCHI – The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) achieved a significant breakthrough on Thursday when they apprehended Rocky, also known as Rakesh Ranjan, who has been identified as the main person responsible for the NEET paper leak case.

From what I’ve heard, it seems like Rocky is the main person involved in the operation.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) brought Rocky before the court and obtained a 10-day remand to conduct additional questioning.

On Tuesday, two other suspects named Sunny and Ranjit were arrested by the CBI.

There is one person who is taking the exam, and another person who is the father of a different person taking the exam.

Sunny got arrested in Nalanda, and Ranjit was taken into custody in Gaya.

According to the details shared during their questioning, the CBI took Rakesh Ranjan into custody.

Rocky, who lives in Nalanda, appeared before Special Judge Harshvardhan Singh, who decided to keep him in judicial custody.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was able to secure a 10-day remand in order to conduct a thorough and detailed interrogation.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) also brought four other individuals, namely Ehsan Ul Haq, Mohammad Imtiaz, Mohammad Jamaluddin, and Aman Singh, before the court. They were then sent back to judicial custody.

The Central Government instructed the CBI to start an investigation. The CBI registered a FIR (RC 224/2024) on June 23, 2024, at Shastri Nagar police station in Patna. The FIR was filed under sections 120B, 406, 407, 408, and 409 of the Indian Penal Code.

The NEET 2024 exam took place across the country on May 5, 2024. Examination centers were established in different schools in Patna.

Amar Kumar, who is in charge of the Shastri Nagar police station, filed a First Information Report (FIR) to start an investigation. The FIR was filed under sections 407, 408, 409, and 120B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

At first, the Economic Offences Unit took charge of the case, but later the Patna Police arrested 18 people.

Later on, five additional people were apprehended from a farmhouse in Deoghar district. These individuals include Chintu, also known as Baldev, Mukesh, Panku, Paramjeet, and Rajiv.

Following their assumption of control, the CBI proceeded to apprehend more individuals believed to be involved, such as Ashutosh, Mukesh, Ehsan Ul Haq, Mohammad Imtiaz, Mohammad Jamaluddin, Aman Singh, Sunny Kumar, and Ranjit Kumar.

Rocky’s arrest brings the total number of people arrested and taken into judicial custody in this case to 27.
