AAP to Contest Jharkhand Assembly Elections Independently

Decision marks withdrawal from INDI Alliance as party aims for systemic change.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to contest the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections independently, stepping away from the INDI Alliance.

RANCHI – The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to participate in the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections on its own, choosing to withdraw from the INDI Alliance.

The decision was made unanimously during a two-day meeting at the AAP state office in Ranchi.

The State Convener of AAP Jharkhand, DNA Singh, has announced that the party plans to nominate candidates in all 81 assembly constituencies of Jharkhand.

Singh stressed the importance of making changes at a systemic level, drawing attention to ongoing problems such as land disputes and increasing crime rates, even after 24 years of changes in governance.

Prem Kumar, who is the deputy convenor of the party, shared details about the ‘Vyavastha Badlaav Yatra’, which aims to thoroughly examine the state’s governance performance in all constituencies.

Ajay Bhagat, the Vice-President of the state, has expressed his concerns regarding the ongoing challenges that the residents of Jharkhand are facing in accessing basic services like electricity, water, education, healthcare, and employment.

AAP leaders have urged party workers to proactively prepare themselves to comprehensively address these issues in the upcoming elections.

One of the party members said, "We think that running independently will let us concentrate on the unique needs and concerns of the people of Jharkhand, without being limited by any alliances."

This strategic move shows that AAP is dedicated to making a difference and tackling ongoing problems in Jharkhand.
