Tata Power has introduced the ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ initiative in Varanasi, aiming to promote rooftop solar installations in 10 lakh homes across Uttar Pradesh.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Power has rolled out its ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ initiative in Varanasi, targeting the installation of rooftop solar systems in 10 lakh homes across Uttar Pradesh.

The initiative aims to facilitate a smooth transition to solar energy, supported by Tata Power’s extensive Channel Partner Network for swift installations.

The company is installing efficient bifacial panels that absorb light on both sides, requiring less space.

Consumers can benefit from a maximum subsidy of up to Rs. 1,08,000, which includes a Central Government subsidy of Rs. 78,000 and a State Government subsidy of Rs. 30,000 for installations up to 3kW.

This initiative aligns with the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.

"Tata Power’s ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ initiative is a significant step towards promoting sustainable energy in Uttar Pradesh," said a company spokesperson.

The new offering is expected to make solar energy more accessible and affordable for residents.
