Tata Motors Kicks Off Annual Sports with Football Tourney

School and Company Teams Compete in Spirited Soccer Matches

Tata Motors’ yearly sports celebration begins with an exciting football tournament, showcasing talent from both corporate and educational sectors.

JAMSHEDPUR – The annual sports event at Tata Motors has commenced, featuring a lively football tournament that brings together six company teams and twelve school teams in a display of athletic prowess.

"We’re thrilled to see such enthusiasm from both our employees and local schools," said Prakash Sinha, GM of Tata Motors, during the inauguration ceremony. "This tournament embodies the spirit of healthy competition and community engagement that we value at Tata Motors."

The opening day of the tournament saw two matches that set the tone for the competition. Little Flower School (LFS) demonstrated their skill on the field with a decisive 4-1 victory over Loyola Telco in the first match.

The second game of the day proved to be a nail-biter, with Valley View School narrowly defeating ABMP School in a close 1-0 encounter. The tight score reflected the intense competition and high level of play from both teams.

Rajat Singh, Town Admin Head, commented on the event’s significance: "These matches not only promote physical fitness but also foster teamwork and sportsmanship among our youth and employees alike."

The tournament’s inauguration was attended by key Tata Motors officials, including Admin Head VN Singh, who joined in cheering on the participants and emphasizing the company’s commitment to supporting local sports initiatives.

As the tournament progresses, spectators can expect more exciting matches and displays of football talent from both the company and school teams.
