JAMSHEDPUR – Social organization Arpan set a new benchmark for private entities in the region by collecting 1208 units of blood during its annual mega donation camp at Sakchi’s Red Cross Bhawan.
The event commenced with a tribute to Lord Birsa Munda, drawing volunteers and donors despite the sweltering heat.
"Our primary goal is to save lives and inspire humanitarian work," stated Kale Singh Amarpreet, Arpan’s chief patron, emphasizing the importance of maintaining adequate blood supplies.
MLA Roy Saryu, Union Workers’ Tata President Chaudhary Sanjeev, and Council District President Murmu Bari were among the dignitaries present at the camp.
Choudhary Tunnu, President of the Union Workers’ Tata, lauded Arpan’s efforts and urged wider participation in voluntary blood donation initiatives.
Editor Jha Bhavanand highlighted the health benefits of regular blood donation, noting that healthy individuals can donate up to four times annually.
Community leaders including Pandey Rakeshwar, Singh Shailendra, and Rajput Rakesh Dr. delivered speeches encouraging ongoing support for blood donation.
