Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce Requests Free Drop-off Facility at Tatanagar Railway Station
Chamber Appeals to Divisional Railway Manager for Passenger Convenience
Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry urges Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway to provide free drop-off at Tatanagar Station’s second entry gate.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry has requested the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Chakradharpur Division, South Eastern Railway, to offer a free facility for dropping off passengers at the second entry gate towards Burmamines at Tatanagar Railway Station.
A copy of the request has also been sent to the General Manager of South Eastern Railway.
This information was shared by President Vijay Anand Moonka and Honorary General Secretary Manav Kedia.
President Moonka highlighted that currently, passengers dropped off at the second entry gate towards Tatanagar Station from Burmamines are being charged a fee, which he deemed inappropriate.
He explained that if a driver merely drops passengers off at the station without parking the vehicle, charging a fee is unnecessary.
However, fees are still being collected from such vehicle owners.
In the interest of passenger and vehicle owner convenience, the Chamber has formally written to the Divisional Railway Manager, demanding that a free drop-off arrangement be established at the Burmamines second entry gate.
This measure is expected to provide relief to passengers and vehicle owners who drop them off.
The General Manager of South Eastern Railway has also been notified of this issue.
Other Chamber office bearers, including Vice President Anil Modi, Advocate Rajiv Agarwal, Puneet Kanwatia, Abhishek Agarwal Goldy, Secretary Bharat Makani, Advocate Anshul Ringasia, Vinod Sharma, Suresh Sharma Lipu, and Treasurer Anil Ringasia, have supported this request.
They have urged the DRM to consider this proposal and make the drop-off facility at the second entry gate free.
