Arjun Munda Campaigns in Khunti Amidst Rain, Calls for Saving Jharkhand from “Plunderers”

Union Minister and BJP Candidate Accuses State Government of Looting, Promises Development and FRA Implementation

Union Minister and BJP candidate Arjun Munda, contesting from the hotly contested Khunti Lok Sabha seat in Jharkhand, campaigned on the last day before the May 13 elections, starting with prayers at the Maa Diwadi temple and holding a meeting in Tamar, despite the absence of Assam Chief Minister Hemant Bishwa due to inclement weather.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a fervent appeal to voters, Union Minister and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, the BJP candidate from Khunti, the most closely watched seat in the state’s elections on May 13, called for saving Jharkhand and the country from the "robbers" allegedly looting the state.

Addressing an election rally in Tamad, Khunti, amid rain and storm, Munda accused the current state government of engaging in widespread corruption, citing the recent discovery of crores of rupees in cash from the house of a minister’s personal secretary.

He questioned the state of affairs under such a government and asked whether this was the purpose for which Jharkhand was created.

Munda emphasized the need to put an end to the "business of looting" in the state and provide opportunities for all people to move forward with development, ensuring a smile in every home.

He highlighted the Modi government’s efforts to implement the Forest Rights Act (FRA) rules, affirming that the forest and land in Tamar village belong to its residents.

Recalling the historic support of 86,000 votes from Tamar in the previous election, Munda expressed confidence that the people would create history once again, emphasizing that the victory would not be his alone but that of the people of Tamar.

He also praised Prime Minister Modi for the respect and honor bestowed upon the tribal community, particularly the appointment of a female tribal as the President of India, which has elevated the self-respect and honor of the Indian tribal society both nationally and globally.

AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahato also addressed the public meeting, lending support to Munda’s campaign.

The Khunti Lok Sabha seat has emerged as the most fiercely contested battleground in Jharkhand, with Arjun Munda’s political fate hanging in the balance.

As the campaign draws to a close, Munda’s impassioned appeal to voters, coupled with his promises of development and the implementation of the FRA, seeks to strike a chord with the electorate.

The outcome of this crucial election will not only determine Munda’s political future but also have significant implications for the state’s governance and the fight against alleged corruption.
