Mango Municipal Corporation Intensifies Dengue Prevention Drive

Five Residents Fined Rs 2500 For Harboring Mosquito Breeding Sites

Health officials conduct door-to-door inspections to eliminate potential larvae habitats.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) has stepped up its dengue larva testing drive, imposing fines on residents failing to maintain proper hygiene standards.

"We’ve collected Rs 2500 in fines from five individuals found harboring mosquito breeding sites," an MMC official stated.

The initiative follows directives from District Magistrate Ananya Mittal to combat dengue spread.

Health teams are conducting door-to-door inspections to identify and eliminate mosquito breeding grounds.

"Several residents were neglecting basic preventive measures," the official noted, citing stagnant water in containers and coolers.

The corporation has implemented a strict enforcement policy to prioritize the well-being and safety of the public.

During inspections, we prioritize checking common breeding sites such as water storage areas and containers that have been neglected.

The purpose of this drive is to help protect the Mango area from dengue outbreaks.

Please remember to cooperate with health officials and make sure to maintain proper hygiene practices.

The Maritime Management Committee (MMC) intends to carry out these inspections and enforcement actions consistently during the monsoon season.
