AIMIM to Contest Lok Sabha Elections in Jharkhand, Announces Candidates for Two Seats

Party Supremo Asaduddin Owaisi Gives Nod to Field Candidates in Rajmahal and Godda Constituencies

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), led by Asaduddin Owaisi, has announced its decision to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand, fielding candidates in two key constituencies.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant move, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has thrown its hat into the ring for the Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand, with party supremo Asaduddin Owaisi giving the green light to contest two crucial seats.

Mohammad Shakir, the state president of AIMIM in Jharkhand, confirmed that the party will field candidates in the Rajmahal and Godda constituencies, both known for their substantial Muslim voter population.

Shakir revealed that he had personally met with Asaduddin Owaisi to discuss the party’s electoral strategy in the state, leading to the decision to contest the Godda and Rajmahal seats.

According to a survey, the Muslim population in Rajmahal stands at 33 percent, while in Godda, it is estimated at 21 percent, making these constituencies strategically important for the AIMIM.

The party has already announced Paul Soren as its candidate for the Rajmahal seat, while the candidate for the Godda seat is expected to be declared within the next couple of days.

It is worth noting that both the NDA and the India Alliance have also fielded candidates in these two constituencies, setting the stage for a closely contested battle.

The India Alliance has nominated Vijay Hansda as its candidate from Rajmahal, while the NDA has put forth Tala Marandi as its representative.

In Godda, Pradeep Yadav from the India Alliance and Nishikant Dubey from the NDA are set to face off against the AIMIM candidate.

The entry of AIMIM into the electoral fray in Jharkhand adds a new dimension to the political landscape, with the party aiming to tap into the significant Muslim voter base in these constituencies.

As the election campaign gains momentum, the AIMIM’s performance in Rajmahal and Godda will be closely watched, as the party seeks to establish its presence in the state’s political arena.
