Jamshedpur School Rallies Community for Civic Engagement

Kids International School in Mango, Jamshedpur, has launched a vigorous campaign to foster voting awareness, featuring speeches, activities, and community involvement ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on May 25, 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – In anticipation of the forthcoming national elections, Mango’s Kids International School has initiated a spirited voting awareness drive under the guidance of school authorities and educational leaders.

Led by Nirmala Kumari Bareliya, the Regional Joint Director of School Education, the campaign emphasized the critical nature of voting as a civic duty and its impact on democracy, encapsulated by the rallying cry "Mera Vote Mera Haq" (My Vote, My Right).

Principal Rukhsar Ayesha and her staff hosted the event, which saw robust participation from students, teachers, and parents, all eager to reinforce the democratic process through informed voting.

The campaign also included practical health advice by Nirmala Kumari on coping with the current heat wave, suggesting regular hydration breaks and sun safety measures for students.

The school community demonstrated their commitment to civic participation with colorful banners and a lively atmosphere, signaling a collective readiness to engage in the democratic process.

In his closing statement, Syed Rashid Zafar, the school director, pledged to vote and encouraged the school community to actively participate in the electoral process, emphasizing the importance of every single vote.

This initiative not only highlights the role of educational institutions in political engagement but also sets a precedent for other schools to follow, especially in educating the youth about their rights and responsibilities as citizens.
