JMM Candidate to File Nomination with High-profile Support in Gandey

JMM leader Kalpana Murmu Soren is poised to enter the electoral arena, beginning with her nomination for the Gandey Assembly by-election.

RANCHI – In a significant prelude to her candidacy, Kalpana Murmu Soren visited the residence of JMM supremo Shibu Soren at Morabadi to receive blessings from her in-laws, ahead of her nomination filing scheduled for Monday.

Accompanied by Chief Minister Champai Soren and other prominent figures from the India Block, JMM officials, and party workers, her nomination day in Gandey promises to be a major event, followed by a public meeting.

The Gandey seat became available following the resignation of the previous MLA, Sarfaraz Ahmed, at the end of 2023, setting the stage for this upcoming by-election.

Kalpana Soren has publicly committed to transformative work for the people of Gandey, emphasizing her focus on local development through her social media platforms.

Her campaign will officially kick off with her visit to the Collectorate to file her nomination, after which she will address the public at a gathering in Piparwatand.

Meanwhile, the BJP has fielded Dilip Kumar Verma as its candidate, indicating a competitive race for the seat.
