Chinmaya Vidyalaya South Park Marks Earth Day with Vibrant Celebrations

Jamshedpur school hosts series of activities to foster environmental awareness among students

Chinmaya Vidyalaya South Park in Jamshedpur enthusiastically celebrated Earth Day, involving students from various classes in activities aimed at enhancing awareness about environmental conservation. The school organized a series of events to emphasize the significance of preserving and appreciating our planet.

JAMSHEDPUR – The celebration kicked off with a focus on planting trees, reinforcing the school’s commitment to making the Earth greener and instilling this practice among students.

The Eco club took an active role, managing waste collection and segregation as part of the day’s environmental efforts.

For the youngest attendees in categories L.KG and U.K.G, the activity involved bringing indoor or outdoor saplings, like bamboo and tulsi, to plant at the school.

Students in grades I to III crafted cutouts of natural resources such as plants, rivers, and mountains, highlighting their vital roles in our lives.

In categories IV and V, students engaged in a "Best out of Waste" activity, creating innovative items from recyclable materials.

Older students in grades VI to VIII collaborated on collages with the theme "Greenery Back to Earth," while those in grades IX to XI wrote slogans to support the same theme.

The school believes that the day’s activities not only celebrated Earth but effectively raised awareness among students, parents, and teachers about the importance of nurturing our environment.
