JAMSHEDPUR – A routine check by the police and SST at the Kesharpur check post uncovered Rs 71,500 in cash from a pickup van driven by Bablu Soren from West Bengal.
Bablu Soren was unable to provide any valid documentation or explanation for the cash found in his vehicle.
Following the discovery, the authorities seized the money, adhering to election protocol, with further investigations set to proceed.
Kumar Indresh, overseeing the local police force, highlighted the heightened security measures, including thorough vehicle searches at entry points.
Soren claimed the cash was earnings from selling paddy in the Galudih market, but the police are verifying the validity of his claim.
