A motorcycle accident on NH-33 results in the death of a woman, Ambika Murmu.
CHANDIL – In a tragic incident on Monday morning, a fatal road accident occurred on NH-33 near Dirlong in the Chowka police station area, claiming the life of Ambika Murmu, aged 35. The accident involved two motorcyclists, leading to a severe collision that resulted in this unfortunate loss.
Ambika Murmu was the passenger on a motorcycle driven by her husband, Mrityunjay Oraon, a resident of Budhalong, Ichagarh. The couple was en route to Bundu to visit relatives when their motorcycle was hit from behind by another rider, Sukumar Singh Munda, from Dirlong.
The impact of the collision caused serious injuries to Ambika Murmu, who was riding pillion at the time. BJP leader Akash Mahato and Bajrang Dal leader Nayan Singh, who happened to be passing by, witnessed the accident. With the assistance of local residents, they quickly intervened to transport the injured couple to the Chandil sub-division hospital for emergency care.
Upon arrival at the hospital, medical professionals conducted an examination, where Ambika Murmu was tragically declared dead. The news of the accident prompted immediate response from the local police authorities. Personnel from Chowka police station arrived at the scene to take the body into custody and initiate a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
