Kalpana Soren Meets Sunita Kejriwal in Delhi

Kalpana Soren and Sunita Kejriwal take political roles amid their husbands’ ED arrests.

Kalpana Murmu Soren and Sunita Kejriwal, stepping into political roles amid challenges, mark a significant moment as they aim to bolster party unity and navigate through their husbands’ legal battles.

NEW DELHI – Kalpana Murmu Soren and Sunita Kejriwal have recently taken a more active role in politics following the legal challenges faced by their husbands.

Both women are set to attend a significant opposition rally in Delhi, indicating their emerging political prominence.

This move comes after their husbands, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, faced arrests by the Enforcement Directorate.

Kalpana Soren, who stayed away from state politics during Hemant Soren’s tenure, and Sunita Kejriwal, primarily involved in household management until her husband’s arrest, are now stepping into the limelight.

They have been seen both supporting their spouses and working to maintain party cohesion.

Speaking to the media on her arrival in Delhi, Kalpana Soren said: “What happened in Jharkhand two months ago, has happened in Delhi now. I came here to meet Sunita Kejriwal to sympathize with her and we have taken a vow to fight against this,” says Kalpana Soren, wife of jailed former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren.”

The participation of Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren and Kalpana Murmu Soren in the opposition’s mega rally at Ramlila Maidan on March 31 underscores their commitment.

The rally, organized by the Opposition India Alliance, will host leaders from various states, with a focus on the messages from Kalpana Soren and Sunita Kejriwal.

Their involvement is crucial as it represents not only personal resilience but also a strategic effort to uphold the strength and unity of their respective parties during challenging times.
