Tata Workers Union: Registered Wards Demand Jobs

Registered Wards of Tata Steel Employees Appeal for Employment, Cite Desperation in Memorandum to Union Leaders

A group of wards of Tata Steel employees have escalated their quest for employment, delivering a memorandum to the Tata Workers Union leadership, highlighting a dire situation and a call for immediate action.

JAMSHEDPUR – A poignant letter has been addressed to Sanjeev Chaudhary Tunnu, President of the Tata Workers Union, and General Secretary Satish Singh, expressing the frustration of registered sons and daughters of Tata Steel employees over their prolonged unemployment.

The group, including Munna Pandit, Vinita Pandey, Babita Kumari, Sunny Singh, and Sudama, underscored their plight with a stark ultimatum to the union leaders: provide them with jobs or a means to die, highlighting their desperation.

Their demand for employment stems from the creation of two new companies, which, they claim, despite promises, have not led to their reinstatement.

Despite possessing registration slips as proof of their entitlement and making numerous appeals to the union, their efforts have been met with inaction, leading to increased despair among the registrants, they said.

The memorandum calls for a decisive meeting involving key Tata Steel HR representatives, including VP HRM Atrayee Sanyal, Zubin Palia, and VP CS Chanakya Chaudhary, to address and potentially resolve their employment crisis.

The situation has reached a critical point where the affected individuals are demanding a specific date for a meeting that could offer a resolution to their employment woes.

They pleaded with the union office bearers to ensure that on that date, VP HRM Atrayee Sanyal, Zubin Palia and VP CS Chanakya Chaudhary be also invited to the office of Tata Workers Union so that their problem can be resolved.
