Tata Steel Implements New Gate Pass System for Enhanced Security
New Hologram Passes and QR Codes Introduced for Four-Wheelers
Tata Steel has announced a new gate pass system for employees and officers, mandating fresh passes for all four-wheelers to bolster security within its premises.
JAMSHEDPUR – According to a recent circular, those seeking entry for four-wheel vehicles will need to apply for a new pass, which can be done through a specific link or QR code available from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Security personnel will facilitate the transition from old to new passes, ensuring that entry is granted solely through the newly issued passes.
These passes will incorporate holograms and unique QR codes, part of Tata Steel’s initiative to enhance security measures significantly.
In addition to the new passes, redesigned stickers for four-wheelers and a variety of stickers for all vehicles are being rolled out.
While the primary aim of these changes is to fortify security, there are indications that the move also seeks to limit the number of four-wheelers on the premises.
In line with efforts to streamline vehicle movement and enhance punctuality among staff, Tata Steel is set to introduce a bus service. This service aims to encourage parking outside the company premises, thereby reducing congestion and vehicle presence within the area.
