Jamshedpur’s voter awareness program spearheads electoral engagement, emphasizing the crucial role of voting in democracy.
JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar led a voter awareness initiative in Mango. The event aimed at motivating the electorate, including students and civic group members, for active election participation.
Highlighting voting as a civic duty, Kumar encouraged attendees to ensure their registration on voter lists. He detailed the 12 ID cards recognized for voting and promoted the 1950 helpline for voter assistance.
Kumar called on the audience to inspire a high voter turnout among their circles. He stressed the importance of women’s electoral participation and guided out-of-district voters on registration processes.
To solidify voting commitments, Kumar administered the voter oath, integrating the SVEEP program’s selfie points to engage attendees.
The initiative, drawing participants from educational institutions and the Human Welfare Trust, underscored the community’s drive for a robust electoral process.
