JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Foundation’s initiative in partnership with Sankara Nethralaya culminates its 100th cataract surgery camp in Noamundi.
This effort is part of a comprehensive drive that started in September 2016.
MESU, a pioneering mobile eye surgery unit, has reached over 44,656 people for screening.
Over 11,197 successful cataract surgeries have been performed under this initiative.
The project highlights the provision of critical eye care in remote and underserved areas.
Tata Steel Foundation plans to extend this successful model to other needy regions.
