Tata Steel Proposes New Tariff Hike
Jamshedpur, Seraikela Kharsawan districts brace for electricity rate increase; JSERC to conduct hearings
Tata Steel and TSUISL propose an electricity tariff increase in Jamshedpur and nearby districts, with public hearings set by JSERC for March 19 and 20, 2024.
JAMSHEDPUR – Fresh public hearings are on the horizon following Tata Steel and TSUISL’s latest tariff hike proposal.
This proposal comes just four months after the last increase in November 2023.
The JSERC has planned public hearings for the applications.
The hearing for Tata Steel’s electricity tariff is on March 20 at the Golmuri Club hall.
TSUISL’s tariff hearing is set for March 19 at the Adityapur Auto Cluster Building auditorium.
Both companies seek tariff adjustments for the upcoming financial years.
Tata Steel has outlined its tariff adjustments and revenue needs till 2025.
The JSERC has called for public suggestions and objections by February 24.
Consumer feedback was accepted until March 2, through the commission’s website or email.
