JAMSHEDPUR – District Magistrate Ananya Mittal has initiated steps towards ensuring transparent Lok Sabha elections.
A crucial meeting was led by Mittal with bank coordinators to discuss election guidelines.
The focus was on scrutinizing cash-carrying vehicles from external agencies.
Banks are to follow specific documentation practices and monitor large cash transactions.
Any cash transaction over Rs 10 lakh must be reported to the Expenditure Accounts Department.
Candidates are encouraged to set up dedicated election accounts for managing funds.
This measure aims at maintaining transaction clarity throughout the electoral process.
Officials were briefed on the use of ESMS and the cVIGIL app for election monitoring.
The meeting saw attendance from top officials including the Senior Superintendent of Police.
The Deputy Development Commissioner, City and Rural SPs were among the attendees.
Other key participants included the Project Director ITDA and SDM Dhalbhum.
