JAMSHEDPUR – The BJP’s Jamshedpur unit has expressed strong disapproval of the Jharkhand state budget presented in the assembly today.
Sudhanshu Ojha, the city’s BJP Mahanagar President, described the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 as lacking direction and failing to fulfill public expectations.
He criticized the JMM-Congress coalition for not addressing the needs of various societal segments, including the poor and youth.
Ojha accused the government of making empty promises, leading to widespread disillusionment among residents.
Former president Gunjan Yadav echoed these sentiments, pointing to the government’s poor implementation record.
Yadav noted that only a fraction of the previous year’s budget was utilized, with few schemes completed.
He warned of a public backlash against the coalition in the upcoming elections due to perceived inaction.
Prem Jha, the district spokesperson, labeled the budget as confusing and disappointing, particularly for the youth.
He criticized the lack of initiatives for youth employment, suggesting the government has misled the younger demographic.
These leaders argue that the budget lacks a clear vision for tackling the state’s challenges, particularly in terms of employment and social welfare.
