Union Minister Criticizes Jharkhand Government
Annapurna Devi Highlights State’s Governance Issues
Union Minister Annapurna Devi criticizes the Jharkhand government for failing to auction sand ghats and other governance lapses.
JAMSHEDPUR – Annapurna Devi, Union Minister of State for Education, recently voiced strong criticism against the Jharkhand government’s inability to auction sand ghats over the past four and a half years.
She targeted Chief Minister Hemant Soren, noting the unusual circumstance of a sitting chief minister being jailed for land corruption, marking a first in the country.
Devi pointed out the leakage of JSSC exam papers as indicative of governmental failure.
She argued that development is hindered by issues related to sand, with the sand mafia exerting undue influence and ongoing looting of sand and stones.
The minister also criticized the government’s handling of citizens attempting to transport materials for construction, stating that such actions were stifling development and benefiting only the ruling family, not the public.
Annapurna Devi warned that the public would hold the government accountable in future elections.
