State-Level Camp Distributes Assets to Thousands in Jamshedpur

A significant state-level legal services and empowerment camp in Palashbani Panchayat, Jamshedpur, distributes crores in assets to tribal community beneficiaries, fostering awareness and access to government schemes.

JAMSHEDPUR – The mega camp, attended by over 10,000 individuals, saw the distribution of assets worth Rs 159 crore among 11,227 beneficiaries.

This marked a significant empowerment initiative for the tribal communities.

Various government departments set up stalls to disseminate information and connect eligible individuals with welfare schemes.

The success of the program was attributed to the collaborative efforts of the court bench, Para Legal Volunteers (PLV), and the district administration.

Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar Singha provided detailed information about central and state government schemes for primitive tribes and weaker sections.

Justice Sanjay Kumar Divedi highlighted the camp’s role in enhancing legal awareness and education on rights.

Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad called for active participation from tribal citizens in the development process, emphasizing the National Legal Services Authority’s (NALSA) goals for expedited case resolution through Lok Adalat and Mediation.

Traditional Beginnings

The program commenced with a traditional Chhau dance performance by tribal artists, setting a vibrant tone for the proceedings.

Distinguished guests were honored with flower bunches, turbans, traditional caps, shawls, and mementos.

Judicial Addresses

Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi provided key insights on legal empowerment and the importance of awareness of government schemes for tribal development.
